If you're a Flyers fan you've surely seen Ray Emerey's new helmet by now. A simple white helmet with three of Philadelphia's heroes painted on it - Joe Frazier, Bernard Hopkins, and of course Rocky. It seems that Flyers owner Ed Snider did not think think this was a good message to be sending, both for the club and especially for a player that has had behavioural problems in the past. It was with this in mind that Snider suggested (read demanded Emery's helmet be repainted) three less aggressive characters/scenes for the goalie's mask. Luckily we know they guy at the cart in the mall that was working on this, and between painting cool names and pictures on t-shirts he gave us an exclusive sneak peak of one of the sides of the helmet.

Yep, that's D'Angelo from that video where he was singing all high an getting all sexy back in the '90's. Apparently Ed Snider loves that video. Loves it like to the point where the song is his ringtone. Rumor has it that the other side of the helmet is going to feature Dilbert and Ziggy shaking hands, and the front will have the crazy, scary looking genie head from PeeWee's Playhouse. At least on this point I have to agree with Mr. Snider. Imagine coming down on a breakaway against Jambi? Just seeing that thing from the blueline would be enough to make me head off for a shift change.

The flyers will dominate the corners in the defensive zone because no winger is going to be able to keep themselves from staring in horror (or lust) while pronger puts them into the 4th row.

I had to consult the urban dictionary to find out what "dropping heat" is.
