Please Pray for the Flyers Tonight

Against our advice, and their better judgement, the Flyers have decided to venture West to Pittsburgh a day before they have to in order to get settled before tomorrow's game. Despite our various warnings that "the drunks will get you!" and "your lungs will be full of steely smog by morning" they went anyway. Those are some tough, stubborn guys.

Rather than being stabbed with an aids-filled needle by a local convenience store clerk or being shot by a farmer we're more worried that they'll simply adopt the Pittsburgh lifestyle - ordering pizza to a bar, wearing a football jersey to a funeral, making up words that don't mean anything in a terribly annoying accent, enjoying King of Queens. If any of these behaviors were to sneak into the subconscious of even one Flyer I'm not sure this blog could continue.

So when you kneel next to your bed tonight, like the penitent God-fearing Flyers fan you are, don't forget to pray for the Flyers safety after you're done asking God to put the person who sits next to you at work out of his/her misery and deliver you a brand new Miata.
