An update on the Flyers 2007 draft class:

1st Round (2nd Pick) - James VanRiemsdyk has 1 goal and 3 assists over 4 games, but with only 5 shots. Teammate Matt Fornataro, an undrafted Senior who had 40 points for the Wildcats last year, has 17 shots. Scouts?

2nd Round (41st Pick) - 6 foot tall, 18 year old defenseman Kevin Marshall of the QMJHL's only American team, the Lewiston Maine-iacs, has 10 points through 12 games - almost a third of his total point output last year.

3rd Round (66th Pick) - Left wing Garrett Klotz, who turns 19 this month, is setting the WHL on fire with 1 assist in 13 games.

5th Round (122nd Pick) - Forward Mario Kempe is off to a good start with 19 points in 13 games for St. John's of "the Q."

6th Round (152nd Pick) - Big Canadian Forward
John Kalinski is 4 games deep in his season at UMinn - Mankato with no points.

6th Round (161st Pick) - Maybe the sleeper in this class is 6'4", 225 lbs forward Patrick Maroon. The 19 year old Saint Louis native has 25 points in 12 games with Patrick Kane's former team, the London Knights, in his first year in "the O."

7th Round (182nd Pick) - Goalie Brad Phillips is at Notre Dame and I don't really care.

Cherry Hill, NJ's pride and joy,Bobby Ryan, was sent down from the Ducks after getting his first NHL goal - which puts him only one ahead of me - and has 7 points in 8 games with Portland.

Tonight the Flyers have a big game against the
Habs. Should be a good one to not watch, but more on that tomorrow.

There's not much pesonal history between the clubs - Eager and Murray fought last year but it was nothing like
this.
